  5. This application will convert the .db files from the BBS in a Box CD as well
  6. as other CDs to Hermes II v3.x data files.  Once you create the data files
  7. all you need to do is create Hermes transfer directories with EXACTLY the
  8. same names and drop the data files in the Area folder where the corresponding
  9. directories are located.
  10.  
  11. 1.  Launch BBIAB Convertor v1.1.
  12. 2.  Click on "Add" and select a .db file you want to convert.
  13. 3.  Repeat above until all .db files are selected.
  14. 4.  Select "Convert".
  15. 5.  Set the folder to hold the files that will be created.
  16. 6.  Click the "Select" button to start the conversion.
  17. 7.  Quit BBIAB Convertor v1.1.
  18. 8.  Create new transfer directories in Hermes II v3.x.
  19. 9.  Put the data files you just created inside the appropriate Area folder.

  24. The conversion will be faster if you move the .db files to your hard drive.

  26. If you do NOT want the .sit, .cpt, .sea suffixes on the filenames, click
  27. on the the appropriate box before converting the .db files.

  29. If you will be moving the actual files from the CD ROM to the appropriate
  30. Hermes II v3.x transfer folders, click on the "Strip CD ROM Pathname" box
  31. before converting the .db files.  This will strip the "individual file
  32. pathname" from the .db files.

  34. You can rename the data files created to any name you want, so long as the Hermes directory name is exactly the same as the data file.

  36. You must set the filename length in Hermes to the same value as the BBIAB
  37. Convertor so the descriptions are the right length.
